Occupation:        Computer Consultant.

Interests: General Motorsport including Rallying, Motorcycle racing and   Formula 1, Fishing especially big game and fly fishing, diving, Ski racing and spending time with his Son Oscar.

Family History: Son of Kerry Grant the 1968 National Saloon Car Champion.

Karting Back ground: Started karting in 1988 and competed very successfully on par with anyone in NZ. In 1990 also competed with much success in Australia.

Rally Back ground: Started rallying in 1993 in a Toyota Starlet winning his class in his first two rallies completed, Andrew then progressed to a Mazda 323 GTX, then in 1994 took the plunge to debut a Group N Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 1.

Andrew had an extremely successful debut season in the Lancer winning the NZ Junior Rally Championship, Andrew also finished first Group N car in the 1994 National Rally Championship and 3rd overall. Also first NZ Group N in 1995 Rothmans International Rally.

1995 started as an equally successful year but unfortunately ended midseason whilst lying 2nd overall in the Championship with 2 rounds to go, this was after all the finances finally dried up.

Speedway: The 2000/2001 season has been Andrew's 4th season in a Midget. Andrew started his speedway career in Bryce McCown's home grown V4 midget. He had 2 very successful years driving this car becoming Rookie of the year in his first season. Andrew has campaigned the car.co.nz TCR/Esslinger midget for the last two seasons with great success. Winning 5 features including three internationals in two seasons with the car.co.nz midget.   Andrew is the most succesfull driver in the 2000/2001 season with three Feature wins.
